Guests and volunteers learn by doing and share their talents with others. We offer activities appropriate for all ages: individuals and families, youth and community groups are welcome.

Community Forestry Day
Fall into the Forest: October can surprise us. Some years it’s warm and bright, other years wet and dark. Outdoor chores include slash piling or chipping and weed control. Indoor needs will include cleaning, equipment repair, tool maintenance and sharpening. If you have a favorite soup recipe you want to share for lunch with our volunteers, please request to be the “chef”-call well in advance.

1:00pm Volunteer projects continue
2:00pm Tour a variety of habitats and management units, allowing an insider's look at sustainable forestry; 90-minutes, some walking on rough ground
4:00pm Put tools away and clean up
